Strategic Media Associate to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Shola Sanni, has insisted that the controversy surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can be resolved if the Federal Government releases documents relating to the alleged forfeiture of $460,000 to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Friday, 24 July, 2026, Sanni maintained that Atiku Abubakar’s camp is not interested in engaging in unnecessary controversies but is focused on obtaining specific documents concerning the alleged forfeiture.
He argued that introducing other arguments into the discussion only diverts attention from what he described as the central issue requiring clarification.
“We are only making a simple demand. Present documents of President Tinubu’s forfeiture of $460,000 to the FBI and we will be fine. All these other things they are conflicting issues that are not related,” Sanni said.
The media aide stressed that the request is solely for documentary evidence and not an attempt to create political distractions.
He maintained that providing the requested records would address the concerns being raised and allow the public to assess the matter based on available facts.
