Uba Sani makes new appointments to enhance service delivery

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has appointed three additional aides, chairmen and members of Boards and Governing Councils, to enhance service delivery and drive the transformative agenda of his administration.

This was announced in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Musa said the appointments were part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and inject fresh energy into public service in Kaduna State.

He disclosed that Audu Maikori was appointed as the Chief Strategic Advisor on Inter-Governmental Affairs, Umar Uba Maicitta was named Senior Special Assistant on Community Relations, while Aminu Mohammed Gusau will serve as the Senior Special Assistant on Policy Communications.

According to him, Dr Ibrahim Umar is the Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of Kaduna State University Governing Council.

He added that Ibrahim Hamidu is a member of the Council representing zone one while Adamu Aliyu Shika and Ladi Barnabas Bala Bantex represent zones two and three, respectively.

Musa further disclosed that Adamu Attah represents the Organized Private Sector in the council.

Musa stated that Governor Sani also appointed Lawal Umar Meyere as Board Chairman of Kaduna Mining Development Company, while Addau Ahmed, Kabiru Tsoho Yakawada, and Yohana Allah Magani Christopher represent zones one, two, and three on the board, respectively.

Sani also named Tanko Kokwain as the new Board Chairman of Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, with Thomas Samuel Amale representing zone one, while Esther Ayuba Anthony represents zone two and Mustapha Ahmed is representing zone three on the Board.

He noted that the four-member Board of Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Agency will be chaired by David Umar Gurara, adding that Bello Nuhu Yakubu, Hassan Adamu Shekarau, and Hannatu Sambo are members.

According to him, Yakubu, Shekarau, and Sambo represent zones one, two, and three, respectively, on the Board.

Sani equally appointed Yakubu El Saad Lere as the Chairman of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) Board, while Zubairu Balarabe Saminu, Binta Saidu, and Habila Abel Adamu were named members.

He described the new appointees as seasoned professionals and resourceful leaders, adding that they were carefully selected based on their track records, competence, and unwavering dedication to the socio-economic development of Kaduna State.

While congratulating the new appointees, Sani charged them to view their appointments as a call to duty.

The governor also urged them to “hit the ground running by executing their duties with utmost diligence, transparency, and strict adherence to ethical conduct to ensure the rapid delivery of democratic dividends to the good people of Kaduna State.”
