Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, has said there may be terrorist “agents” within the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and other security agencies.
He made this known while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of The Link Up Podcast, hosted by EchoRoom, which was published on Friday.
While fielding questions on whether Nigerian security agencies have been infiltrated by terrorists, Bwala noted that the possibility cannot be ruled out.
The presidential aide went on to recall that many army officers, policemen, and other security agents have previously been arrested over their links to terrorism in the country.

He, however, noted that such an anomaly is not peculiar to Nigeria, arguing that even Western nations have recorded similar breaches.
Speaking during the interview, Bwala said:”You cannot rule out the fact that they may have one or two agents in the army, or anywhere else.
“Our police and soldiers have occasionally been arrested for being involved in this kind of thing.
”This can happen anywhere in the world. Edward Snowden was a contractor to the US national security. These are things that can happen. The reason I don’t want to talk too much about that is because there are measures we are taking, and we don’t want people to know.”
