Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election in 2027, saying the administration’s economic reforms and improving macroeconomic indicators have positioned the President for another electoral victory.

Alausa stated this during an interview, according to a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Ikharo Attah.

The minister said the Tinubu administration had delivered on its promises through sweeping economic reforms that are gradually transforming the country’s economy and laying the foundation for long-term, inclusive growth.

According to him, Nigeria’s economic progress is now being validated by independent local and international institutions rather than political rhetoric.

He noted that reports by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, Bloomberg and the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicate that the administration’s reforms are yielding measurable results and boosting investor confidence.

Alausa also said key economic indicators are showing positive signs, with inflation easing, economic activities expanding and other macroeconomic indices steadily improving.

He stressed that beyond the immediate gains, President Tinubu is focused on ensuring that the reforms remain sustainable and continue to benefit future generations.

“The President is focused on building a stronger Nigeria for generations to come. These reforms are not designed for short-term gains but to create lasting prosperity. There is no value in making difficult decisions if they cannot stand the test of time,” he said.

The minister added that the administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline, structural reforms and long-term economic stability is already producing positive outcomes across several sectors of the economy.

He said the reforms are positioning Nigeria for inclusive growth, higher productivity and sustainable national development.

Alausa maintained that as Nigerians continue to witness improvements in economic indicators and experience the impact of the ongoing reforms, President Tinubu’s performance would remain his strongest campaign asset ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

He also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to implementing policies aimed at strengthening the economy, improving citizens’ welfare and advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing optimism that the benefits of the current reforms would continue to deliver lasting prosperity for Nigerians.
