The 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season will officially kick off on Friday, August 28, with the campaign scheduled to conclude on May 30, 2027.
The league management body and premier league clubs representative reached the agreement during their stakeholders meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.
The league’s calendar also makes provision for the President Federation Cup, with the state qualifying playoffs scheduled for early February 2027.
The first half of the season is expected to be wrapped up after Matchday 19 in December, before clubs head into a mid-season break from December 23 to January 6.
The January transfer window will remain open throughout the month, allowing clubs to strengthen their squads ahead of the resumption of league action in the second half of the season.
