Nicki Minaj is being sued by a law firm that claims the rapper owes more than $229,000 in legal fees.

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP filed a lawsuit against Minaj in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. The firm claims it began providing the 43-year-old entertainer with legal services in 2024.

The attorneys say their work was connected to a separate lawsuit accusing Minaj of copyright infringement. According to the new complaint, the Grammy-nominated musician now owes the firm $229,541.

The law firm also claims Minaj did not respond to its lawsuit, resulting in the court entering a “default” against her. A hearing scheduled for September will determine whether a default judgment should be issued, which could allow the firm to collect the alleged debt without the case proceeding to trial.

The legal dispute comes months after Minaj was named in another lawsuit involving an allegedly unpaid bill. In March, a production company sued the “Super Bass” performer for $275,000, claiming she had refused to pay money it was owed.

Minaj has not publicly addressed the latest filing.
