The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has extended the voting deadline of its ongoing election.
The election which started at 7:35am on Saturday is billed to be concluded by 7:35am on Sunday.
This was made known in a post shared on the NBA’s official X handle.
NBA urged all eligible lawyers to cast their vote as they association hoped to improve on the low voters’ turnout.
As observed by NPO Reports as at 11:12pm, only 30.26 percent of the 82,167 registered voters have casted their vote.
NBA charged the eligible members to make their votes count.
“Voting in the 2026 Nigerian Bar Association National Elections commenced at 7:35 a.m. today, Saturday, 18 July 2026, and will remain open until 7:35 a.m. tomorrow, Sunday, 19 July 2026.
“Every eligible lawyer has the opportunity to shape the future of our Association. Don’t wait until the last minute. Cast your vote today and make your voice count.
“Your vote matters. Your participation matters. The future of the Bar is in your hands. Vote before the polls close at 7:35 a.m. tomorrow.” The statement read.
