Businesswoman, Nana Otedola, has revealed that she went through several failed ventures before eventually launching her successful laundry business.

Speaking on a podcast hosted by her daughter, Temi Otedola, and son-in-law, Mr Eazi, Nana, wife of billionaire Femi Otedola, said she experimented with about 10 different business ideas before finding her footing.

She recalled attempting to work as an administrative staff member at one point, though she said her husband was against the idea.

She also tried her hand at buying and selling, but that venture didn’t work out either.

According to her, she tried about 10 other things, including working as an admin staff member in an office, an idea her husband opposed, as well as buying and selling, all while simultaneously running her dry-cleaning business on the side.

Her breakthrough eventually came through her dry-cleaning and laundry service.

She recalled that a consultant identified as Brian had once questioned whether the idea would work, just as her husband had also expressed similar doubts, but she remained convinced that Lagos needed a good dry-cleaning and laundry service.

Despite the early scepticism from both her husband and the consultant, Nana said she stayed committed to the vision, and the business eventually thrived.

Mr Eazi also noted that Lagos continues to have a huge demand for reliable laundry services today.
