Now He Has Been Arrested And Will Face the Law; Influencer Says

Human rights activist and social media influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has disclosed advising the self-appointed Director-General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, to hand off himself to the police.
VeryDarkMan made the disclosure in a video shared on his TikTok handle in the wake of Adeniyi’s arrest by the police on Tuesday.
NPO Reported that the self-acclaimed council DG was apprehended in Osun state hours after the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja issued a bench warrant against him over absence at the hearing of the suit filed against him.
He was arraigned on an eight-count charge bordering on alleged certificate forgery, fraud and impersonation.
His absence when the case was called prompted the court’s order for his arrest which was carried out by the police few hours after the order.
Reacting to the development in the TikTok video, VDM disclosed warning Adeniyi against allowing the police to arrest him rather than handing himself over to the security agency.
He held that his arrest would make the application for his bail difficult.
“I warned him when we were talking on the phone. I said it is better for you to take yourself to the police than for these people to catch you first because if they catch you first, it will be hard for you to be granted bail.
“But if you take yourself there, it will be very easy for you for this matter.” He said.
The influencer recounted his conversation with the embattled PFIPC boss over the scandal surrounding his office as well as the bribery allegation he melted against the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
“I asked the guy question directly that have you ever seen Femi Gbajabiamila? He said no he has never met him. This is somebody that you claimed you gave N400 million to.
“Then again, I went on to say since you have never met him, have you ever spoken to Femi Gbajabiamila on the phone. He said yes. I said did you speak with him on the video call? He said no.
“So, I said there is a high chance that it was not Femi Gbajabiamila you were speaking to. He said yes that he cannot rule that out.” He said.
VeryDarkMan claimed that there might iota of truth in Gbajabiamila’s denial of connection with the controversial agency on account of Adeniyi admittance of never meeting the COS in person and his uncertainty over the actual identity of who he spoke with on phone.
The activist also cited Gbajabiamila’s petition filed before the outburst of the scandal as another possible act that will vindicate the COS.
“Now, this guy can be saying the truth. Femi Gbaja that is saying he doesn’t know this guy can be saying the truth. Both of them can be innocent especially in a case like this.
“I believe that Gbaja in this case can be innocent. Firstly, the guy said he has never met Gbaja before and he was not sure he was speaking to Gbaja on the phone.
“The only thing wey dey there be say no be Gbaja this guy talked to because Gbaja had previously written a petition against these people and they wrote the petition around November 2025.” He said.
VDM further disclosed what led to the petition by Gbajabiamila as well as the moment the scandal broke out.
“Why did they write this petition? Based on my own research, this agency, PFIPC, wrote a message to the US Embassy that they wanted visas for some of their staff.
“Then US Embassy wrote a message to the presidency that some persons under your government want visa should we approve? Na where the thing cast.
“This is the genesis of the burst. When they reached to them, the presidency said we don’t know this agency. That was when police started investigating.
“Now, when police invited him, he was detained for 23 days. In those 23 days he was custody, that was when his agency appeared in the National Budget. Meaning that there is somebody moving the agency’s file.
“This has automatically now commot Gbaja because na Gbaja write the petition wey make dem arrest am, saying I don’t know this guy. Of all this Gbaja don commot because na him write petition.
“That is why I said two truths can exist here. It is possible that somebody was collecting that money and saying it was Gbaja.” VDM said.
He thereafter raised question over the role of the intermediary between Gbajabiamila and Adeniyi, Tanimola Dolapo, who allegedly died in a fire incident.
“But then again, who was person that collected this money? The person don kpai. They said the person kpai for fire.
“Now I asked this guy how but the phones you were using to communicate with this person so that you can get evidence from that phone?
“He said he was on his way to Kogi when he was attacked by gunmen and they shot his car. He ran away and forgot his phone, menaing witness gone, evidence gone.” He said.
The activist thereafter called for the transfer of attention to the budgeting office where the PFIPC budget was processed and passed.
“If you want to know the answer to this question, don’t go straight to Gbaja. Go to the budgeting office. That is where you go to first.” He said.
