Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has explained why his twin children have yet to relocate to Nigeria, revealing that he’s holding off until a newly acquired home is fully completed before bringing them over.
The singer shared this during a livestream where he discussed upcoming family plans alongside his wife, Chioma Adeleke.
He said the twins, currently based in the United States, would eventually move to Ede in Osun State once the family’s new mansion is finished, explaining that his only holdup is wanting the house completed first so the children can settle into what he described as their own palace.
Davido also disclosed that he and Chioma recently purchased an even bigger property and are set to move in within the coming week, describing the new home, their largest yet in eight years, as very spacious.
He said the decision to upgrade to a larger home was driven by a desire to give his children the same comfortable upbringing his own father gave him, noting that he simply wants to replicate for his kids what his father did for him and his siblings.
The singer further spoke about how his father, billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, treats his grandchildren during travel, revealing that the children have never flown commercial when accompanied by their grandfather, only doing so on occasion when travelling with their mother alone.
When with their grandfather, he said, the children fly private jet.
