MultiChoice Nigeria has announced the grand prize for the winner of Season 11 of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show.
The winner will take home the biggest prize in the show’s history, comprising ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV.
The organisers also announced that the new season will premiere on July 26.
This development was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday.
According to MultiChoice, the ₦160 million prize package is the highest since the reality TV show debuted in 2006, raising the stakes for what is expected to be another landmark season.
The organisers said the launch show will air from 7 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family channels, while the 24-hour live broadcast will be available on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49.
Fans will also be able to stream the show live via DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.
According to the statement, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu will return as the host for the new season.
“Viewers can expect a season filled with unexpected twists, dynamic tasks, strategic gameplay, entertaining challenges and the authentic interactions that have made Big Brother Naija one of Africa’s most-watched reality TV franchises,” the statement said.
The organisers added that the weekly live eviction shows would return, with viewers participating in public voting to determine which contestants remain in the competition.
