The camp of African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has claimed that United States President Donald Trump is now aware of court documents relating to President Bola Tinubu’s alleged past legal records in the US.

Paul Ibe, media aide to the former Vice-President, made the disclosure on Wednesday in a post shared on his official X handle.

According to him, President Tinubu’s 60-page US Department of Justice files regarding alleged heroin trafficking and the forfeiture of $460,000 have been brought to the attention of President Trump through a US lobbying firm, Batten Von.

Ibe, who did not provide evidence to support his claim that the US President has been briefed on the documents, noted that Nigerians deserve to know the full details of the matter.

Taking to his verified X handle, he wrote:
”Finally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s @officialABAT 60-page DOJ files on heroin trafficking and forfeiture of $460,000 has been brought to the attention of @realDonaldTrump courtesy of a US lobbyist firm, @batten_von.

“Manuel Noriega on my mind. Nigerians deserve to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth. The best is being saved for last.”

However, Ibe failed to state what actions, if any, are expected to be taken by President Trump or the US administration following the alleged briefing.
