Popular cleric, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has publicly praised Dr Daysman Oyakhilome, popularly known as Jnr Oyakhilome, describing him as an outstanding example of humility, discipline and unwavering submission to spiritual authority, sharing personal accounts that have since sparked widespread conversation across Christian communities.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Apostle Suleman highlighted Dr Daysman Oyakhilome’s approach to ministry leadership, describing him as a leader who continues to prioritise spiritual accountability despite overseeing a ministry with an international footprint.
According to Apostle Suleman, one incident particularly stood out to him.
He recalled that Dr Daysman Oyakhilome had already finalised preparations for a major ministry programme, with promotional posters printed, billboards installed and all arrangements in place.
However, after receiving instructions from his father, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President of LoveWorld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy, Dr Daysman Oyakhilome decided to cancel the event.
Apostle Suleman recounted that with posters and billboards already out everywhere, Dr Oyakhilome had simply called him to say the programme would not go ahead, explaining that he had not been cleared or released to attend.
He also shared another instance of Dr Daysman Oyakhilome seeking guidance before a separate ministry engagement.
According to Apostle Suleman, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome did not give a direct verbal response on that occasion; instead, Dr Daysman Oyakhilome discerned from his spiritual father’s response that he should not proceed until there was clearer direction.
Drawing from these experiences, Apostle Suleman emphasised that genuine leadership is not measured solely by the size of a ministry or the scale of its influence, but also by a leader’s willingness to remain teachable, accountable and submitted to spiritual authority.
He presented Dr Daysman Oyakhilome’s conduct as an illustration of honour, humility and obedience, encouraging ministers and believers alike to embrace mentorship and accountability regardless of their level of success or public recognition.
To reinforce his message, Apostle Suleman also referenced the late internationally acclaimed gospel minister Ron Kenoly, describing him as another example of a globally respected leader who consistently sought his pastor’s approval before accepting ministry invitations.
