A 10-year-old boy was taken from his family’s house in Yobe State’s Tarmuwa Local Government Area by suspected kidnappers, who are requesting a ransom to free him.
Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, reported the event.
According to the report, four armed individuals broke into Bukar Umar’s home in Andarashi hamlet at around 5:20 p.m. on July 25.
Makama reported that the att@ckers, armed with bows and arrows, cutlasses and sticks, forcefully @bducted the victim, identified as Abdullahi Isa, before fleeing to an unknown destination.
The report added that the kidn@ppers later contacted the family by telephone and demanded a r@nsom for the boy’s release.
Following the incident, police authorities deployed operatives to the area, while the Officer-in-Charge of the State Investigation Department (SID) was directed to commence technical tracking of the telephone number allegedly used by the k!dnappers.
Police said efforts are ongoing to rescue the victim unharmed and apprehend those responsible for the @bduction.
