Troops Kill Two Lakurawa Terrorists, Recover Weapons in Kebbi‎‎

‎Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have neutralised two suspected Lakurawa terrorists and recovered weapons during an operation in Kebbi State.

‎According to Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force (North West) Operation Fansan Yamma, troops acted on intelligence that terrorists were planning to attack Sabarumawa community.

‎He said personnel of the Chief of Army Staff Intervention Battalion 7 mounted a tactical ambush and engaged the terrorists in a firefight.

‎The operation resulted in the death of two terrorists, while others fled into the forest.

‎Danja said troops recovered AK-47 rifles, magazines, 143 rounds of ammunition and a motorcycle from the scene.

‎He added that the military would sustain offensive operations against terrorists and other criminal elements operating across the North-West.
