A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, trapping construction workers beneath the rubble.
The incident occurred on Wednesday behind Eternal Filling Station, opposite Chief Sam Ngbor Avenue, off Peter Odili Road.
Residents who witnessed the collapse called for an urgent emergency response, and officials of relevant agencies arrived shortly after to commence rescue operations.
The Rivers State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Blessing Kaborlo Agabe, confirmed that two persons had been rescued and taken to hospital, with rescue operations ongoing to determine whether others remained trapped in the rubble.

No fatalities had been confirmed as of the time of the report, and the cause of the collapse remains unknown. The Rivers State Government was yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
