The Osun State Police Command has arrested and detained a suspected bandit in Okefia area of the state.
The suspect was apprehended members of the community on Wednesday after being spotted with a military camouflage.
On arrival of the police officers, he was forced to undress his layers of clothes which included an Amotekun Corps uniform.
The suspect was however rescued from mob action by police who transferred him to their station.
NPO Reports contacted the Osun Police Command’s spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, who confirmed the detention of the suspect.
Ojelabi however debunked the suspect’s connection with banditry, stressing that investigation is ongoing.
“He’s presently undergoing interrogation, no connection with banditry. Investigation is still ongoing.” Ojelabi said.
