The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in the just-concluded Ekiti State governorship election, Dr. Oluwole Oluyede, has attended a thanksgiving service on Sunday, after losing the election.
Dr. Oluwole attended the special thanksgiving service with his wife, Chief Mrs. Kemisola Oluyede, which took place at St. Luke Anglican Church, Uro, Ikere-Ekiti

The thanksgiving service was held in appreciation of God’s faithfulness, particularly for the peaceful conduct of the campaign and election, and for the fact that no casualties were recorded during the entire process.
It was a solemn moment of gratitude, reflection, and renewed hope for the continued peace and progress of Ekiti State.
The occasion also coincided with the celebration of Fathers’ Day, providing an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the dedication, sacrifice, and leadership of fathers in their families, communities, and society.
Dr. Oluyede extended warm felicitations to all fathers, praying that they would continue to be blessed with wisdom, strength, and good health as they fulfil their responsibilities.
He also acknowledged his wife’s steadfast support and commitment during the service.
Also in attendance was Hon. Sunshine from Ado Ekiti, alongside numerous supporters of Dr. Oluwole Oluyede, respected PDP dignitaries, party faithful, and well-wishers who gathered in an atmosphere of unity, worship, and thanksgiving.
Speaking after the service, Dr. Oluyede expressed heartfelt appreciation to supporters, volunteers, religious leaders, security personnel, electoral officials, and all citizens who contributed to maintaining peace throughout the campaign and the just concluded Ekiti State governorship election.
He encouraged everyone to remain committed to unity, democratic values, and the collective development of the state.
The thanksgiving gathering concluded with prayers for enduring peace, divine guidance for leaders, and greater prosperity for Ekiti State and Nigeria.
