A video capturing suspected terrorists passing through a police checkpoint unchecked has sparked public outrage and intensified concerns over the security situation in Nigeria.
The now viral video shared on X on Wednesday showed policemen attached to the checkpoint at a yet-to-be confirmed area waving at the armed terrorists as they rode past the checkpoint.
Prior to their passage, the suspected insurgents initially appeared reluctant to pass as one of the policemen signalled to them from distance to approach the checkpoint.
The video had since drawn backlash and concerns from netizens.
Some however claimed the armed men were not bandits but vigilante members going to the bush to fight the bandits.
