The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ondo South Senatorial District by-election, Prof. Dayo Faduyile, has commended voters for “impressive turnout” during Saturday’s poll.
Faduyile voted at Unit 5, Ikoya/Igbinsin Oloto Ward in Ikoya, Okitipupa Local Area of Ondo State.
The APC candidate, who spoke to newsmen shortly after casting his vote, described the turnout of voters at his unit and ward as impressive, calling on other voters to come out to exercise their franchise.
Faduyile commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials for being punctual and dutiful in their assignment.
Faduyile equally lauded security agencies for providing adequate security and ensuring peaceful conduct.

He said: “The turnout has been impressive. I thank voters for coming out in large numbers to exercise their franchise and implore others that are yet to come out and exercise their civic responsibilities to do the needful.
“From my assessment, I am confident of victory at this election. As you can see, the turnout is impressive and massive. This is my unit and information from other wards showed that things are moving perfectly well.
“I commend INEC and security agencies for their punctuality and beefing of security across all polling units and wards across Ondo South.”
