Nasarawa Amazons Football Club and Heartland Queens of Owerri on Wednesday evening defeated their semifinals opponents with the same 2-1 Scorelines to reach this year’s final of the Women’s President Federation Cup.
Heartland Queens known for their tactical ability fought hard to kick out giant killers FC Robo Queens of Lagos 2-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City while Nasarawa Amazons secured their second consecutive final after edging Sunshine Queens with the same 2-1 Scoreline.
On the road to the challenge cup final face-off,the Lafia-based Amazons eliminated league champions
Edo Queens who earlier sent the defending champions Rivers Angels. Nasarawa Amazons defeated Edo Queens 5-3 on penalties after a goalless draw in the quarter-finals.
Heartland Queens, on the other hand beat Ibom Angels in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw to advance to the semifinals against Robo Queens
Nasarawa Amazons now have the opportunity to win the trophy the trophy for the second time. They won it for the first time in 2019 and as well make up for the 2025 final match defeat to Rivers Angels.
Meanwhile,Heartland Queens will be aiming for the President Federation Cup crown for the first time after overcoming FC Robo Queens in the semi-finals.
The women’s final, alongside the men’s final, is scheduled to be staged at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta on July 11,2026.
