The founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, actor and movie producer, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, has explained why the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, cannot lead a protest against the government.
He defended the under-fire clergyman in a recent post shared on his official Instagram page.
Bamiloye’s post comes after Adeboye shared a clip on Tuesday, in which he urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to issue a 90-day ultimatum to service chiefs to either eliminate terrorists or resign from office.
While advising the president in a video shared on X, Adeboye said: “If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say quietly to our government, ‘Move fast and tell our security chiefs, get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign.’
“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists; they should eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be.”

The comment, however, comes amid allegations that Adeboye had called off a planned protest against insecurity.
Reacting to the backlash faced by the RCCG leader, Bamiloye hit out at his critics and bloggers for misrepresenting the cleric’s stance.
He argued that Pastor Adeboye cannot lead a protest as demanded by some Nigerians because of his age and “the mandate of his calling.”
The filmmaker wrote: “This is what he said, many bloggers saw this, but they would not project it. But he spoke against the evils.
“And for all those who are expecting an 84-year-old man, a servant of God, to lead a protest against a government, this does not make sense by virtue of his age and by the mandate of his calling”
