A fierce clash suspected by political thugs in Osogbo and Owode-Ede has left many residents of the Osun state communities injured.
The thugs were reported to have engaged in deadly fire exchange during the clash on Tuesday with several residents caught in the crossfire.
Video shared on X showed a commercial vehicle riddled with bullet.
One of the residents caught in the crossfire was rushed to the hospital with his clothes soaked in blood from a suspected gunshot injury.
Meanwhile, details surrounding the incident largely remain unknown as no official statement has been issued to confirm the development.
Another video circulating showed some campaign vehicles branded with the photos of the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Oyebanji driving along many roads in the state capital while fierce looking thugs popped their heads and fired shots in different directions as the convoy of campaign vehicles moved round the state capital.
A source who pleaded anonimity said the movement was a show of force.
NPO Reports contacted the Osun Police Command for confirmation, but no response has been received as at the time of filing this report.
