Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has paid a condolence visit to former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, over the kidnap of his sister and her twin sons.
NPO Reported that the middle-aged woman identified as Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke was abducted by gunmen around 7:30am on Wednesday while on her way to drop her 12-year-old twin sons to school at Elewura area of Ibadan, Oyo state’s capital city.
Video shared on X few hours after the incident captured moment the woman and her children were forced out of the car by group of armed men and whiskered away in a separate car they came with.
The incident had further raised security concerns as it occurred amid ongoing call for the rescue of the 39 students and seven school teachers kidnapped in Oriire Local Government Area.
Meanwhile, Makinde would on Fridsy paid a vist to Adelabu at his residence.
Video capturing his arrival showed moment the governor stepped out of the car to embrace Adelabu who received him to his house.
In a breif exchange before entering the house, Makinde condoled Adelabu while decrying the spate of abduction in the state.
“My brother, sorry. This is the challenge we all find ourselves now.” The governor said.
Meanwhile, information on the whetreabout of the woman and her sons remain undisclosed.
