“Life has a funny way of bringing people back” – Wumi Toriola speaks on reuniting with Seyi Edun in touching note

Wumi Toriola writes to Seyi Edun on birthday

Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has spoken about her reunion with her former bff, Seyi Edun.

Taking to her Instagram page to share photos of Seyi, she noted how life has a funny way of bringing people back together, and she is genuinely grateful that theirs did. She said that though they spent years apart, reconnecting has reminded her of the friendship they once shared and the value it still holds.

Sending her well wishes, she expressed how glad she was that they had been able to move forward and create new memories together.

“Happy Birthday, dearie @i_am_shai

Life has a funny way of bringing people back together, and I’m genuinely grateful that ours did. We may have been apart for years, but reconnecting has reminded me of the friendship we once shared and the value it still holds.

On your special day, I wish you happiness, good health, success, and all the peace and joy you deserve. I’m glad we’ve been able to move forward and create new memories together.

Have an amazing birthday and a wonderful year ahead. Cheers to fresh starts, lasting friendships, and many better days to come.
Happy Birthday @i_am_shai”.

Kemi Filani reported last month that Seyi’s husband, Adeniyi Johnson, had received praises from the public for reconciling Seyi and Wumi. The talented actor, via his Instagram page, shared a photo of himself, his wife and Toriola with the caption, “Vacation is over”.

Refreshing your memory, Wumi was once best friend with Seyi after Seyi snatched Adeniyi Johnson from Toyin. However, their relationship went sour, and both parties went their separate ways.

In 2020, Wumi called out Seyi Edun for not celebrating her son’s birthday but had the guts to send him money. She went as far as mocking Seyi over her inability to have a child for her husband. Interestingly, Wumi went on to pitch tent with Toyin after the fallout.

In 2023, Wumi and Toyin fell out allegedly over Funke Akindele’s Battle on Buka Street. According to reports, Wumi was upset when Toyin failed to cast her in her movie, Ijakumo. Toyin had put a call through to Wumi to set things straight but Wumi had hurled insults at her, which led Toyin to unfollow her on Instagram. As such, Wumi had pitched tent with Toyin’s rival, Funke Akindele by starring in her movie.

To the spite of Wumi, her ex friends, Toyin Abraham, and Seyi Edun, had reconciled. Kemi Filani reported that Seyi had extended an olive branch to her Toyin by promoting her new movie, Bhad and Boujee. The mother of twins had shown support for the mother of one at the Cinema, where she urged her fans to come watch the movie with her.

Surprisingly, Toyin expressed gratitude to her for the support as she commented on her post with, “Thanks love.”
