Kwara Governor, AbdulRazaq, sacks advisers, Deputy Chief of Staff, others in ‘minor’ cabinet shake-up

​Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has relieved some members of his cabinet of their appointments, with less than a year remaining of his administration.

​The decision was conveyed on Monday in a statement issued by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood Agboola.

​According to him, the development was a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at injecting fresh energy into the administration.

​Agboola stated, “Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved a minor cabinet shake-up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.”

​Also affected are the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.

​The statement further noted that the change was also effected to extend opportunities to more party members.

​The Governor went on to express gratitude to all the appointees for their priceless service to the state and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

​He also directed them to hand over all government property in their custody to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
