Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing the President’s commitment to the development of Kano State and the country.

Yusuf made the remarks on Wednesday at the Government House in Kano during the presentation of a Certificate of Return to Shu’aibu Rabi’u Nagogo, the newly elected member representing Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

According to a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Yusuf said the existing relationship between the Kano State Government and the Federal Government has yielded positive outcomes for residents of the state.

He noted that ongoing cooperation between both administrations has facilitated the execution of key infrastructure and development projects, which he said have contributed to the state’s growth.

“The people of Kano State have every reason to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His commitment to the development of Kano and Nigeria at large has shown that he deserves overwhelming support from our people,” the governor said.

Yusuf further commended the President for what he described as efforts toward promoting national unity, development and the welfare of citizens.

The governor also urged political leaders, stakeholders and supporters in Kano to remain united and strengthen collaboration with the Federal Government to advance development in the state.

Congratulating Nagogo on his electoral victory, Yusuf expressed confidence that the lawmaker would provide quality representation for constituents in Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Federal Constituency.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with the Federal Government to implement policies and programmes aimed at improving the living standards of residents across Kano State.
