Joe Budden Podcast Producer Claims Elliott Wilson Owes Him $20K!

SaVon Slater is calling out Elliott Wilson over an alleged $20,000 debt he says has been hanging over him for months.

In a podcast clip, Slater, a producer for The Joe Budden Podcast, claimed Wilson never paid him in full for production work on a project that also involved Roc Nation. Slater said he wanted to be clear that he does not blame Roc Nation.

“I did not have an agreement with Roc Nation,” Slater said. “The payment was supposed to come from Elliott Wilson.”

Slater said he had “all the receipts,” including texts, a contract, and an agreement that had been reviewed by lawyers. He claimed the issue became uncomfortable as the season continued, and he began to worry whether Wilson had the money. The producer said his respect for Wilson’s career made the situation harder before describing Wilson as “somebody in the space that we respect.”

“I just wanted to be made whole and I wanted to keep it pushing,” Slater continued.

Slater then claimed he offered Wilson a six-to-eight-month payment plan for the alleged $20,000, only for Wilson to counter with $500 a month. Slater said he has not heard from him since.

“I’m accepting the fact that I probably won’t get paid,” Slater added, “It’s a learning lesson.”
