The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has defended President Bola Tinubu over his effort in tackling insecurity in Nigeria.
Adeboye held that Tinubu is doing his bit in addressing the insecurity challenge by given instructions to his service chiefs.
The renowned clergyman made this known while speaking during a public engagement on Monday.
In a clip of his address posted on X, Adeboye maintained that the President is not expected to physically join the military before being acknowledged for his efforts in tackling insecurity.
“I don’t support those who are accusing the President of not doing enough. When the Commander-in-Chief has given instructions to his subordinates, he has done his bit.
“You don’t expect him to go and put on khaki.” The RCCG General Overseer said.
He compared Tinubu’s action with the United States President, Donald Trump, who he claimed only needed to give orders to the military to carry out actions.
“When my friend, Trump, gives instruction, to go and bomb anywhere, he doesn’t leave White House.
“He has done his bit. ‘I hereby command, bomb Iran’ then he goes to his bedroom and sleep.
“The rest is left to those who are his supporters.” The clergyman said.
