A group of local hunters and vigilantes have raided suspected bandits’ settlement, arresting two in Osun State.
The hunters and vigilantes had reportedly embarked on security surveillance following reports alleging presence of bandits on farmland in the deep forest of Imesi-Ile community on Wednesday.
Videos shared on X showed moment the two suspects were apprehended while attempting to flee.
The suspects who appeared to be herders had their hands tied behind their back as the vigilantes and hunters waited for the return of their colleagues in the forest.
Meanwhile, one of the hunters accused the suspects of attempting to attack him with a sword during the raid.
According to reports, the suspects are currently in custody as security agencies continue their investigation into the incident.
