Governor Ahmed Aliyu, of Sokoto State has approved the constitution of Governing council for State-owned tertiary institutions.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Abubakar Bawa, Director General, Media & Publicity, Government House, Sokoto.

Similarly, Bawa said, Governor Ahmed Aliyu has also approved the appointment of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Dutse, Alh. Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sanusi, CFR, as Pro-Chancellor of Sokoto State University.
The appointments are with immediate effect.
