A Ghanaian goalkeeper simply identified as Emmanuel has tragically passed away after a horrific tackle from an opposition goalkeeper.

Emmanuel reportedly died of the injury sustained from the collision with the goalkeeper during a local match.

Video of the incident shared on X on Wednesday showed moment the delivered the life-ending injury to Emmanuel.

The footballer, as seen in the clip, had chased a loose pass from the opposition team to the goalkeeper.

While the ball was rolling on the pitch, the goalkeeper charged forward with a high-flying kck which caught Emmanuel ‘s face, knocking him out.

The goalkeeper, in a cold reaction, walked past the footballer as he removed his gloves after been shown a straight red card.

Emmanuel, according to a post on X, was announced dead hours after the incident.

This had sparked outrage from netizens with calls for the arrest of the goalkeeper over murder as his tackle was considered a deliberate action.
