Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has made fresh revelations about his personal life during a closed-door testimony before a US congressional panel investigating the network and associations of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Gates admitted that he had extramarital affairs with three women and claimed that Epstein knew about the relationships and may have considered using the information to blackmail him.

The testimony was given before the US House Oversight Committee as lawmakers examined newly released documents connected to Epstein. The disclosures have once again brought Gates’ past interactions with Epstein under public scrutiny.

During his testimony, Gates acknowledged having affairs with three women during his marriage.

The first was Mila Antonova, a Russian bridge player who had previously been linked to reports involving Gates and Epstein. The second was Karima Nigmatulina, a Russian nuclear physicist and researcher. Gates also confirmed a relationship with Alice Jacobs Nesselrodt, a medical entrepreneur and businesswoman.

According to the testimony transcript released on Tuesday, Gates told lawmakers that Epstein was aware of his relationships with Antonova and Nigmatulina and later became aware of the third affair as well.

Gates said these personal relationships had no connection to his meetings with Epstein but admitted they caused pain to his family.

A key focus of the congressional questioning was whether Epstein attempted to use knowledge of Gates’ personal life against him.

According to Gates, Epstein never directly blackmailed him. However, he believes there is a strong possibility that Epstein considered doing so after learning details about the affairs.

“Epstein was working to use information about my infidelities, along with many lies layered on top of them, to pressure me to re-engage with him,” Gates told lawmakers.

The claim was linked to a 2013 email draft allegedly written by Epstein that referenced Gates’ personal life and former associate Boris Nikolic. Gates described the communication as a possible effort by Epstein to gain leverage over him.

The latest developments emerged after the US Justice Department released additional documents related to Epstein, prompting renewed examination of his connections with several high-profile figures.

Gates appeared voluntarily before the committee on June 10 and answered questions about his relationship with Epstein, their meetings, and allegations surrounding his personal life.

During the testimony, Gates denied any involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities and said maintaining contact with him was a mistake. He said he met Epstein around 12 to 14 times and participated in two video calls over a period of four years, mainly to discuss philanthropy and charitable initiatives.

Gates also rejected claims that he had ever suffered from a sexually transmitted disease or secretly provided medication to anyone. He acknowledged that he may have discussed health concerns with mutual associate Boris Nikolic but denied the allegations contained in some Epstein-related documents.

Meanwhile, the Gates Foundation has launched an external review of its past interactions with Epstein as scrutiny over the relationship continues. Investigators and lawmakers are expected to continue examining documents and testimony as the broader Epstein probe moves forward.
