British-Nigerian rapper David Orobosa, with the stage name Dave has announced his first headline show in Lagos.
Dave, will be performing at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (National theatre) on Oct 16 and 17, 2026, commencing the African leg of his “The Boy Who Played The Harp” tour for his third album.
The Lagos dates mark a significant moment for the rapper and his Nigerian fanbase, who will get to see him headline a concert in the country for the first time.
His earlier stops includes Pretoria on Oct 3 and Cape Town Oct 6, with some already sold out.
The rapper took to his social media pages on Tuesday where he shared details of the event.
He wrote: “LAGOS NIGERIA! I’m announcing my first ever headline shows here, and we have made sure this homecoming will be special. Sign up for early access here!”
Meanwhile, some fans who are excited about the announcement took to their social media platforms to react.

Dave is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in UK rap.
He began writing out lyrics from the age of 11 and dropped his first freestyle in May 2015 at just 17.
The 27-year-old rose to prominence with tracks such as ‘Funky Friday’, ‘Location’ and ‘Starlight’, earning praise for his sharp lyricism, storytelling and socially conscious themes.
