The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has again arraigned social media influencer and businesswoman, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over a fresh N13 million fraud.
This is coming barely a day after the self-acclaimed relationship expert was granted N10 million bail by the Federal High Court in Lagos over alleged N36 million fraud.
While the hearing of her bail application was ongoing, Blessing CEO was also at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja where she was arraigned on fresh N69.1 million fraud.
The EFCC would on Wednesday announce her third arraignment over another fresh N13 million fraud charge.
As contained in statement issued on its official X handle, the commission said Blessing CEO was arraigned by its Lagos Zonal Directorate 2.
The social media influencer was arraigned before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on a fresh six-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and retaining the proceeds to the tune of N13,000,000.
This reportedly followed the receipt of several petitions from individuals and groups, including the Nigeria Cancer Society.
According to the EFCC, the petitioners allegedly made donations to the defendant after her social media posts claiming that she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer and seeking financial support for treatment.
She was, however, later discovered to have allegedly falsified the document she presented to members of the public.
NPO Reported that Blessing CEO cancer claim had earlier this year sparked controversies.
The controversies intensified with her medical report forgery scandal which drew the attention of the Nigeria Cancer Society and other agencies.
