Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and some members of the Accord Party are feared have sustained varying degrees of injuries following stage collapse at the party’s campaign.
The incident which occurred on Wednesday at Ijebu-Ijesha triggered as the crowd present at the campaign ground scampered for safety.
Video of the incident shared on X captured moment the podium came down crashing moment after Adeleke stood from his seat.
While no statement has been issued by the state government over the condition of the governor, some sources claimed he was taken to the hospital for first aid treatment.
However, the development had since sparked mixed reactions from the public with some netizens trolling the governor while others showed concern and expressed solidarity with the governor.
