Blogger Justice Chidiebere, known as Justice Crack, has alleged that a vehicle he bought on loan was damaged after he posted criticism of the welfare of Nigerian soldiers at the warfront.
Justice Crack said he was arrested by the Nigerian Army, which later handed him to the Department of State Services for arraignment on three counts of cybercrime, breach of public peace and felony. He pleaded not guilty and has since been granted bail.
In an updated post on X Wednesday, he alleged he was detained and abused by army personnel for three days in April following the post on military welfare.
The activist said he was taken away by the Nigerian Army under the guise of DSS officials on April 28, 2026, five days after buying the car on loan. He said he remained handcuffed and blindfolded throughout his detention.
Justice Crack alleged he was left for hours in the sun without water during the day and held in an “extremely cold room” at night. He also said he received “random slaps from unidentified individuals.”
“I begged and cried for water, but nobody gave me any,” he wrote on X. “At night, I was kept in an extremely cold room where I would cry and plead for help, but no one responded.”
He said the trauma continued after a court granted him bail. “I still wake up suddenly at night, struggling to sleep as memories of those days continue to haunt me,” he wrote.
“What breaks my heart even more is that the car I bought on loan was damaged,” he added. “Sometimes I ask myself: what exactly did I do to deserve such treatment?”
The activist said his only “offence” was speaking up and asking that soldiers “should be properly fed and cared for.”
“Today, I can truly say that Nigeria happened to me,” he wrote. “But despite everything, one thing remains certain: Justice can never be cracked.”
