Rules Out Tinubu’s Chance of Winning

Former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung, has ruled out President Bola Tinubu’s chances of winning in any state at the forthcoming 2027 Presidential Election.
Dalung claimed that the President will not boast of 14 percent support, including in Lagos, where according to him, will be a battle zone between all the major political parties.
The ex-minister stated this while speaking on Seun Okinbaloye’s Mic-On Podcast programme on Saturday.
Airing his view on Tinubu’s chances of winning the poll considering his federal might and number of states under the control of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dalung maintained that the president is living in a world of his own and oblivion of the combustion coming from opposition parties.
“I don’t see Tinubu as serious as you are presenting him. President Tinubu in 2027 is the most unserious person to be called a strategist.
“He is underestimating the combustion that is coming in the party. They have shielded him so much that he is living in a world of his own and been fed by videos produced on social media as support.” He said.
Dalung thereafter claimed that the president hardly boasts of 14 percent of Nigerians support while warning of recurrence of the 2023 election where Tinubu lost in Lagos.
“Tinubu’s support, if I will be very sincere with you, is not up to 14 percent in Nigeria.
“Can you show me a party where Tinubu will win? There is none. Lagos is going to be a battle zone between APC, NDC, ADC, and PDP.
“It has happened before in 2023.” He said.
Dalung said the president is yet to learn his lessons from his defeat in Lagos in 2023 as he cited the surge in insecurity as a determining factor that will affect the president’s re-election bid.
“Tinubu doesn’t learn any lesson because if he learnt lesson, he should have been able to know that allowing insecurity to fester hunger and frustration is designing your political grave as a politician.” He said.
