Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has emotionally recounted the good deeds of her senior colleague, Odunlade Adekola, to her.
In an interview with Jeff Omolewa TV, she recounted how the actor came through for her when another bullied her—according to Habibat, a colleague who was shooting a movie with her got mad when he learned of Odunlade’s appearance in the movie and had demanded his full payment.
Habibat said that when Odunlade saw her countenance and asked her what she wanted, she demanded N20,000, which he gladly gave her, despite the meagre amount he had given her to shoot her movie.
The Yoruba actress said his gesture had left a mark on her heart, and whenever she thinks of it, she always prays for him.
“I begged Odunlade to accept N130,000 from me to star in my movie. He accepted it, and when we got to the location, we acted out a scene, and he left. Another actor, when he came on set and heard that I had done a scene with Odunlade, changed his behaviour towards me. Someone I had already paid N80,000 changed his behaviour and started asking for his balance before he could shoot another scene. The actor drove off, and I had to pursue his car while pleading with him. I can’t forget it.
All of these built me and made me stronger as a producer.
When I got to set the next day, I was moody, and Odunlade asked what had happened, and I told him about my financial challenge. To my surprise, he gave me N20,000 without asking for a return.

A day ago, Jinad had expressed a desire to join the gang of those who love eye service. She noted that she doesn’t know how to fake life, doesn’t do fake zone, and is contemplating switching sides and joining the gang of eye service.
The Yoruba actress recounted how Mide Martins once insulted her with her skin colour on a movie set. She revealed that Mide Martins used her skin colour to insult her in the presence of everyone, and this touched her so much that she contemplated bleaching her skin.
Two years ago, Habibat had called out her colleague, Yetunde Bakare, pleading with her to allow her to live for the sake of her son. She revealed that many of those who had declared interest in helping and supporting her had been told not to by Bakare because she was always badmouthing her.
The call-out led to a social media spat as Yetunde debunked her claims, shedding light on their fallout.
