The Niger State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the results of the party’s presidential primary election conducted through the direct primary system, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerging victorious after polling the highest number of votes.
According to a statement signed by Musa D. Sarkinkaji (Labaran SK), APC Publicity Secretary, Niger State, the presidential primary election was conducted across the 25 Local Government Areas of Niger State. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured a total of 175,504 votes to defeat Stanley Osifo, who polled 5,248 votes.
He further said the State Collation Officer and Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago, announced the results immediately after the collation of results from the 25 Local Government Areas. He disclosed that a total of 212,465 voters participated in the exercise.
The result sheet was signed by the State Chairman of the Primary Election Committee, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, and the Secretary, Honourable Adamu Tanko, while Professor Mohammed Kuta Yahaya served as the election agent of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election was held on Saturday, 23rd May, 2026, across the 25 Local Government Areas of Niger State.
