PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has secured 206,420 votes to emerge the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Jigawa.
Gov. Umar Namadi, who is the Chief Returning Officer for the APC Presidential primary election, announced the result in Dutse on Saturday.
Namadi declared Tinubu the winner after collating results from the 27 local government areas of the state.
“My name is Umar Namadi, the Coalition Officer for Jigawa state. The total number of registered voters in Jigawa is 330,327 and the total number of accredited voters is 206,520.
“The scores by the two contestants is as follows, President Bola Tinubu scored 206,520 votes while Mr Stanley Osifor scored zero vote,” Namadi said.
While commending the local government coalition officers for their diligence and hardwork, Namadi said the result would be transmitted to the APC headquarters for the final declaration of the winner of the primary education. (NAN)
