President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th Africa CEO Forum scheduled to begin on Thursday.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the Nigerian leader landed at the Presidential Wing of Kigali International Airport on Wednesday, where he was welcomed by Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, alongside Rwanda’s Defence Minister, Juvenal Marizamunda.
Other government officials present to receive the President included the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed, Nigeria’s Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ibrahim Zanna, and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare.
The Africa CEO Forum, created in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by International Finance Corporation, is regarded as one of the biggest yearly gatherings of business leaders, investors and policymakers across Africa.
The event focuses on economic growth, regional cooperation and investment opportunities across the continent.
This year’s edition is themed “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”
During the forum, President Tinubu is expected to deliver a speech titled “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World.”
The session will focus on Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms and the government’s plans for growth despite global economic challenges.
The President is also expected to meet with African and international business executives during the summit as part of efforts to strengthen investment ties and expand economic partnerships.
The visit is also aimed at promoting Nigeria’s role in regional cooperation and encouraging stronger partnerships that can support private sector development and long-term economic growth across Africa.
