Lateef Adedimeji dedicates AMVCA win to Mo Bimpe

Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has melted hearts by dedicating his AMVCA win to his wife, Mo Bimpe.

Kemi Filani reported on Saturday, May 9th, that the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards was held, with many entertainers in attendance.

At the prestigious event, Lateef’s movie Lisabi won the Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa).

While receiving his award, he dedicated it to his wife, who has given him three kings. He urged the crowd at the event to celebrate his wife on his behalf.

“This is for Adebimpe Oyebade Adedimeji. This is for the woman that just gave me my kings. Celebrate Adebimpe Oyebade for me. This award is dedicated to her”.

At the AMVCA last year, Lateef praised Bimpe, noting how he and his wife wear their heritage like a badge of honour, and their traditional attire is a testament to the beauty of their roots. He described his wife’s presence as a symphony of laughter and warmth, and their love celebrates the little things that make life worth living.

It is no longer news that on Friday, May 1st, the couple had announced the birth of their triplet boys. Lateef shared a video of Bimpe holding their ultrasound, saying that God had given him more than he had prayed for, as his wife is now a mother of three boys.

On Mo Bimpe’s birthday in March, he called her a true blessing from his creator, his love and engine room. Lateef said his wife is as gentle as a dove, yet strong and firm in the way she carries her family with grace.

For her birthday last year, Lateef expressed a desire to learn more about his wife. He stated that he wants to get better for his wife, noting his shortcomings, and added that he wants to live through all the experiences still to come with her.

After her birthday, he reassured her of his undying love. He described her as the greatest gift in his life and appreciated her as his partner, encourager, and safe place.

To celebrate her birthday, in 2023, Lateef credited Mo Bimpe with making him the man he is today. He noted how not everyone is fortunate to have someone like her in this chaotic world. He expressed how lucky he is that God brought Mo Bimpe his way and appreciated her for making his life so easy and for being his number one critic.

On Valentine’s Day, Lateef shared loved-up photos of them, calling Mo his lady, his woman, and his wife. He stated that she is always on his mind, the first thought he carries into the day, and the reason his heart feels calm.

To celebrate the love season, he surprised her with a tray filled with food and other items gifts. The comic actor had made a customised mug for her, turned their love story into a storybook, and bought new bags, clothes, and more.

To celebrate their 4th wedding anniversary, Lateef shared a video of the moment he surprised Bimpe with a room full of roses, flowers, cake and more. He revealed that he planned the surprise around 4am after returning from their movie shoot.

On their 4th tradiversary, Adedimeji declared Bimpe the greatest gift in his life and expressed gratitude for her every day. Mo Bimpe, on the other hand, described him as her man, her best friend, her safe haven, and her winning partner. She noted how everything became better with him in it.

Some years back, Lateef had opened up about their love story, revealing that he and Bimpe had vowed in their hearts, never to marry their colleague until they met each other and, things changed. He also revealed that they had both encountered a roadblock in their relationship over their different religion.
