President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, officially emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
Tinubu won in a landslide victory against his only challenger for the ticket, Stanley Osifo.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that Tinubu won the APC presidential primary with 10,999,967 votes across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), according to results declared on Sunday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
President Tinubu’s votes from the APC primary election surpass the 8,794,726 votes with which he won Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election.
His sole challenger, Stanley Osifo, polled a paltry 16,503 votes.

The figures were drawn from the presentations of the various state collation officers.
Tinubu’s strongest showing came from Lagos, where he polled 814,988 votes, followed by Adamawa State with 644,149 votes, and Kaduna with 618,914.
By contrast, Osifo’s best result came from Niger State with 5,248 votes, Kano with 2,675, Bauchi with 2,650 and Abia with 1,007.
He scored zero in 21 of the 37 reporting units, including the FCT, Osun, Kogi, Delta, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Kwara, Borno, Enugu, Kebbi, Ondo, Yobe, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Ekiti, Ogun, Sokoto, Cross River, Taraba, Gombe and Edo, where he polled just one vote.
