Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has sparked fresh debate on religious practices in the state after challenging self-acclaimed miracle workers to demonstrate their claims at the Amaku General Hospital.
Speaking at a church event, the governor asserted that his administration has taken action against individuals he described as “fake pastors and bishops,” as part of efforts to sanitize religious activities in the state.
“We’ve arrested fake pastors and bishops. Whoever wants to perform a miracle should come to Amaku Hospital,” Soludo was quoted as saying.
The statement has since generated wide reactions, reigniting conversations around faith, accountability, and the regulation of religious practices in Anambra State.
