Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has reacted to the defeat of celebrity businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, in the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives primary election for Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.
Cubana Chief Priest contested the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections but lost to the incumbent lawmaker representing the constituency, Canice Nwachukwu, after polling 14 votes.
Following the result, Seyi Tinubu sent a message of encouragement to the nightlife promoter in a post shared on his Instagram page, which was later reposted by Cubana Chief Priest.
Seyi advised him not to be discouraged by the outcome, noting that setbacks can lead to future success.
Cubana Chief Priest also reacted to the outcome in a video circulating online, saying he had no regrets about contesting the election.
He, however, expressed disappointment over the low votes he received and questioned the role of party stakeholders in the process.
The APC primary result has continued to generate reactions on social media, with mixed responses from supporters and critics.
