Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has declared President Bola Tinubu winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary election held in the state.
NPO Reported that the APC had on Saturday held a nationwide primary for the presidential ticket.
Despite wide endorsement of Tinubu, the party was prompted to adopt direct primaries over the refusal of aspirant, Stanley Osifor, to withdraw from the race.
Ahead of the primaries, Tinubu travelled to Lagos to cast his vote at his ward.
Announcing the result of the election, Sanwo-Olu, who served as the Collation Officer, declared Tinubu winner with 814,988 votes.
Osifor on the other hand polled 1,186 votes.
