Super Eagles defender Ryan Alebiosu has emerged as a target for several clubs in Europe’s top five leagues, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 24-year-old right-back was one of the bright spots in what was nearly a dark campaign for the Riversiders, who narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship. They finished the campaign just five points above the relegation zone.

Alebiosu joined Blackburn Rovers from Belgian club KV Kortrijk last summer in a deal worth €576k, and his profile has grown significantly since then.

He featured in 39 games, recording one goal and five assists. Aside from his attacking contributions, he has been solid at the back and has provided several astute defensive displays.

His performances have not only earned him an invitation to the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, but have also seen him linked with a transfer to a larger club.

Everton and Genoa have been touted as potential destinations in recent months, though nothing concrete has emerged yet. There were reports that Genoa submitted a bid in January, but it was rejected.

However, following their poor finish in the Championship and a need to raise funds, Blackburn might budge this summer.

Blackburn Rovers Set Price for Ryan Alebiosu

According to English outlet Football Insider, Blackburn Rovers have decided on an asking price for Ryan Alebiosu.

The report states that the club received a €4.9 million offer for Alebiosu in January but refused to let him leave. However, they are now willing to let the Super Eagles star depart if they receive a similar offer soon.

The Riversiders are not desperate, however. Although they need the money, they can still afford to keep Alebiosu for next season, as he still has two years left on his contract.

€4.9 million is an affordable fee for the clubs interested in Alebiosu, as they are all competing in top-flight leagues. Naturally, the Super Eagles star would be happy to make the move; it now depends on whether Blackburn will sanction the deal.
