Rick Ross says there’s no panic on his side as Drake prepares to release his upcoming album, ICEMAN.

While speaking with Hot 97 host Nessa, Ross opened up about his relationship with the Toronto rapper and pushed back on the idea that their issues have turned into an all-out war.

“We made history with a lot of records,” Ross said before explaining where he believes things changed. “It’s a lot of people that don’t know, but it was that he lost focus, that’s it.” Ross added, “I’m sure he’s back focused.”

The rapper also addressed fans who have tried to compare the situation to Drake’s feud with Kendrick Lamar, but Rozay says things aren’t that deep between him and Drizzy.

“People would love for me to say I hate this n—a, and naw it ain’t that,” Ross explained. “When somebody steps out of line, and you got to chastise them or give them a spanking, that’s what you do.”

Ross later shut down any suggestion that Drake’s album rollout would intimidate artists in the industry.

“But is it one of those things where it’s a conspiracy? Hell no,” he said. “Don’t nobody fear a Drake album release. Nobody.”

Ross recently performed songs featuring Drake during his VERZUZ appearance with French Montana while intentionally removing Drake’s vocals from the tracks.
