Chukwugozie Canice Moore has finally reacted after winning the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency.
Moore, popularly known as High Chief Omeogo, defeated Paschal Okechukwu to emerge as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.
A longtime ally of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Moore is widely regarded as a grassroots mobiliser with strong followership across his constituency and the state.
Speaking shortly after his victory, High Chief Omeogo emphasised that politics is local.
“You can see that I am here with my people, I am from this ward and I am a leader in this ward.
“And politics is local and because of the locality of politics, I have retired back to where I am from and this my root and here we go,” Moore said in a short video.
Meanwhile, Seyi Tinubu, reacting to the outcome of the APC primaries in Imo State, urged the defeated aspirant, Chief Priest to keep his head up.
He encouraged him to explore better strategies in future political endeavours.
